I went to the Dr. today and some things had changed. First of all the baby's heart rate was significantly lower today... I couldn't tell if this bothered her or not. She didn't give me any numbers or anything but she said the baby's head was really low and I was dilated more and because Gracelyn's heart rate was so low she encouraged me to have the membranes stripped. Boy oh boy was that an experience... and I thought the vaginal exam was tough :) I just breathed my way through it and all was good until i went to sit up and almost passed out. The nurses were running in bringing me cold water and fanning me here and there. Definitely not the appointment I thought I was going to have today! We will see if the procedure worked. I have been having a lot of cramping and some contractions so we will see if she comes within 72 hours or not. Watch... she will probably be born on Halloween :( Just my luck! Well I will keep you all posted. Please pray that Gracelyn is fine and continues to be safe and healthy until her arrival. I know God is good and His timing is perfect!

Music to my heart
David and I just spend the last hour singing worhsip songs as he played the guitar. What an amazing time we just had praising and giving glory to our God! I can't wait till Gracelyn will be able to sing and share in our worship time. David sings to her a lot mainly "her song" which is Amazing Grace ( reason being, it is her name and because it was played by the bagpipes at our wedding) How special that song is to our hearts and how amazing the grace is that the Lord constantly gives us!
Thank you Lord for blessing us with this time to worship you as a family!

My Wonderful Husband!
I have to take a moment and thank the Lord for my loving and thoughtful husband. He has been so cute this whole pregnancy but especially these last few months as the arrival of Gracelyn draws closer. He is always so quick to help get something for me, massage my feet, or go upstairs or downstairs depending on where I am so I don't have to, and he has been so interested in reading up on baby books and the expectant father. I am so blessed beyond belief. David and I have been enjoying these last few months and LOVE spending time with one another! whether it is taking a walk with Daisy over to the little league games... or just snuggling up on the couch, helping me with dinner, or just watching him work on cars, we had just been having so much fun together. I still can't believe that he doesn't have to go back to work until after New Years! I am so excited to have him around during ALL of our family events and holiday traditions. I am so thankful for him and I can't wait to see him dote upon his little girl! I know he will be a wonderful coach during delivery, and I can't wait to see his face the first time he holds her in his arms.

Heading into week 38 :)
Today at the Doctor everything was great! The tech was so surprised to hear such a loud and strong heartbeat... that made Mommy very happy :)
I was preparing myself for no progress so I once again wouldn't be disappointed however, I was very glad to hear she was moving things along. We are almost at 2 centimeters, 50% effaced and -1 station!!!! Wahoo so great to hear about more progress. Dr. Harris thinks that she could come anytime... she is guessing that Gracelyn will be around 7 lbs, 6.5 if we really want it ;) A perfect size baby not too big and not too small. She also said that it doesn't look like she is sunny side up anymore and now that she is even further down in position and locked she thinks she will remain that way! So maybe I won't have the terrible back labor after all.
Man oh man part of me wants her to come now, but the other part of me wants her to wait at least one more week :) Watch she will surprise me and go PAST my due date :(
Thank you for your prayers!!
We WILL keep you all updated!

Dearborn Wedding
After Evy and Daniel's wedding we jumped over to Scottsdale for David's best friend's wedding. Alyssa my sister came with us and we met our other sister Ashlee and her hubby there! We managed to get there just in time for dancing and cake :) The bride was beautiful! He dress shimmered just like Cinderella's. We had so much fun doing the electric slide and catching up with friends!!! What a fun filled day :)

McDarby Wedding
David's sister Evy was married this weekend. She was one of the most beautiful brides! The whole family had put so much effort and time into making this wedding so beautiful and lovely. Mom made the arch and did all the flowers, Dad did the ceremony which was so very special, and David read my favorite scripture 1 Corinthians 13. The evening was wonderful!!

Heading into week 37 :)
Today I went to the doctor expecting it to be my last visit with our current doctor, because of the whole insurance craziness. However, I found out that AZWC for Women made a new contract with Humana now covering me all the way up to 6 weeks after the baby is born. GOD IS SOOOOOO GOOD! Here we were planning to switch doctors this week and now we are thrilled that we get to stay with our doctor!
As far as the appointment, everything was good Gracelyn's heart rate was at 143 (138 last week) Head is down and locked which is good, but as far as any further dilation ... we are still a 1. As much as I want her to come I am fine with her taking her time and growing stronger and healthier as we wait!
We have the nursery now 97% complete. Now we are just waiting on the curtains to be sewed and put up on the window and closet. I will post pictures as soon as we can :)
Love you all, and thank you so much for your prayers!
P.S. be in prayer for David's cousin and his wife they are expecting within the next few weeks! Pray for a safe and easy delivery and a strong healthy baby cousin for Gracelyn :)

Doctor Visit Update!
I went to the doctor today for my weekly visit expecting to hear the same thing... but today was even more exciting. The doctor said Gracelyn's head is definitely down and when he checked me he said that i am thinning out quite fast. He also informed me that I was dilated to a one. How exciting to see some REAL progress! He said we could deliver this week or we could deliver next month... depending on my body and the baby of course! I go back on Monday to see if any more progress is being made!
Thank you for your prayers! I know the Lord is good! Pray for Gracelyn to grow stronger and healthier until she is ready.
