Gracie's new do!

I have been trying to get Gracelyn to cut her hair ALL YEAR! With as stinkin' hot as it is here... long hair is just no good! With as sensitive as her head is... brushing it while she screams and cries is no good. With her hair getting caught in her armpits in her car seat EVERY TIME I get her out of the car... well you get the idea ;) I wasn't going to force her... so I waited... and waited... and waited until the other day while I was braiding it (I braid it every night so it wouldn't get tangles) she told me "Mom I want hair like Annie!" Annie is thier favorite movie right now... they BOTH know the songs and I guess Gracie wanted Annie's short red curly hair.... Daddy said no shorter than her shoulders so we compromised!

Good bye beautiful (annoying) long hair!

Hello cutie pie!
She did great, sat very still and was so excited to be getting her hair cut FOR THE FIRST TIME!

Clearly she LOVES it... she is over bows for the most part! She tells me she wants to wear it down... we have compromised (again) with half ponies with a bow, colored bobby pins and headbands!

She is growing up and it is bittersweet!

School days... school days!

Good old golden rule days!

Gracelyn started PRESCHOOL this week!!! She was SO excited and didn't even want to eat breakfast this morning. It was like Christmas morning in this house! ( I totally spelled her school wrong... leave it to David to proofread my creative sign)

"We get to go... right now?!"

She remembered to take her book bag with her!

My sweet girls... no I didn't mean to coordinate just happened ;)

Such a Daddy's girl! Beyond grateful David was able to drop her off with us!

She was so excited about playing with the rainbow bears!

She had no problem leaving us... the meet and greet last week helped her transition since she was able to spend some one on one time with her teacher!

Briella had a hard time leaving her sissy behind... in the car she was crying "Gacie... Gacie... sissy?!?" She didn't understand why we left her there. Those tears quickly dried when she soon learned that she got to play with all the toys by herself at home. (Gracie is a bit bossy and seems to tell Bri what she can and can't play with) Of course after the hours quickly passed she was SO excited to go pick up her sister!

After picking her up at the classroom we headed over to Grandma's room for story time and the girls got to sit in extra desks and be in 1st grade for a bit!

After lunch we met up with my Mom, sisters, cousins and the kids my sis nannies for at YUMBERI! we enjoyed some frozen yogurt like old times when my Mom would take us out for ice cream on the first and last days of school! I of course had to continue the tradition!

It was a wonderful day with a TON less fighting... the girls realized they really DO love each other! Excited for many more of these GREAT days!! I am so BLESSED!
