NEW BLOG ADDRESS!

WELL HERE IT IS... THE NEW BLOG NAME!
A few other blogger moms and I have had some interesting run ins with people we don't know not only reading but COMMENTING on our posts. Instead of making this blog COMPLETELY private where only a few readers can enjoy it I have decided to change a few things. My wonderful friend came up with the idea of removing any hint of our last name. She also encouraged me to change all of my blog links from your last names to just your first. As you can see I have already done that, and if you prefer neither I can change it to something you would like better!
Thank you to all of our devoted readers and loving friends and family that continue to pray for us and think of us! We are so sad that the world has changed so much. As my dear mother always says, "It is good to be aware but NOT afraid."

For those of you who are my blogger buddies and have a link to our page from yours, we kindly ask that you rename it David and Mandi

Thank you so much!

Auntie Jessica and Gigi!

One of my best friends is about to have her baby boy!!! We are all SO excited and eagerly awaiting August 20th... that is if he decides to come that day! She had a lot of pre term labor in the past so we are thrilled that he is getting more comfotable and deciding to stay put for now! Jessica and Luke have decided to keep his name a secret so I CAN'T wait to meet my little nephew and FINALLY know his name ;)
She came over to bring us a baby gate since Gigi has decided that she needs NO BOUNDARIES and hopefully this gate with keep her off those STINKIN' staris :) Anyway, it was so sweet of her to drive all the way here IN THE HEAT after working since 7 a.m.!!! I am so blessed to have a friend like her :) She looks too stinkin' cute for being three weeks away from delivery!!! Aw... I just adore her!!!

Gracelyn didn't like sitting on her cousin... she already loves him!!

LOVE YOU JESS!!! can't wait to meet baby boy Fischer :)

Bachelorette Party JAMES BOND STYLE!

We had a casino royale theme for my sisters's bachelorette party! We had so much fun! We rented out the Presidential suite at the Pointe Tapatio Cliffs and spent three days and two nights there! We rented a sun cabana by the pool and LOVED lounging and using the water slide! Gigi did so well and even napped in the cabana while we sunned. As soon as day fell we went on a dangerous TOP SECRET treasure hunt to find the metal briefcase!

After the hunt we played a GREAT game of poker and ate WAY too much junk food! SO blessed to call Alyssa my sister and can't wait for her wedding!

Gracelyn LOVED being a part of the festivities!!!

Of course for our male entertainment James himself stopped by!

don't worry he was wearing hot pink boxers ;)

Busy...busy...busy!

My little busy bee! I am constantly chasing after this girl! Weather she is tossing the picture frames off the end table... or climbing up the stairs, trying to climb up the fan or eating dog food... she is always busy! We have recently made a furniture change. After she pulled the coffee table over on herself we decided to get rid of it. (She was fine, the things is really light and I caught it before it completely pinned her down) We purchased an ottoman that has soft hinges so not only can we store everything we don't want Gigi to touch in it, but it won't slam down on her little fingers!

She amazes me everyday! Her new favorite thing to play with is the plastic scooper from the formula canister. She will dip it into Daisy's water dish and pour the water into her mouth... what a smart girl! The other day I was about a second too late and had to pull dog food out of those cheeks of hers... there were FOUR WHOLE PIECES STORED IN THOSE CHEEKS!!!

As busy as she is, and even though I can't get anything done while she is awake... I am loving how active she is. She is full of smiles, giggles and we just love playing with her!!! We can't believe how big she is getting... we measured her the other day and then measured her yesterday and she had grown half an inch... I can't wait to take her to her 9 month check up and see how much she has grown in a month!! My little baby is gone and this busy little toddler has taken her place!! She eats what we eat, she no longer drinks out on a bottle and she has lost that baby look!! BITTERSWEET!!

1950's Bridal Shower!

We threw a wonderful shower for my little sister Alyssa on saturday! A dear friend of ours let us use her beautiful home, and it was the perfect place for our 1950's themed shower!

Mommy and Gigi wore matching aprons!

Alyssa's and Gigi's sparkle shoes!

Flowers, aprons and pearls...

Yummy treats to eat. These cookies and wedding words and pet names on them!

Robin went all out with her 1950's hairstyle!

We played "How well do you know the Bride" and "Bridal Bingo" We also went around the room and gave her tips on entertaining!!

Friends and family were there to love on the Bride!!

8 Months!

No longer does my baby girl sit for a montly picture. I saved her a few times during our little photoshoot form crawling off the chair and crashing to the ground. The first picture is pretty much the epitome of Gracelyn lately!!!

I cannot believe she is already 8 months old! She is starting to lose some of her chub.. but is still a big girl. We just switched her into size 4 diapers and she is out of her 12 month clothes... 12-28 and 18-24 for this baby!!! (in Utah she wore 2T jeans we just had to cuff them)

Of course the planner in me is getting VERY excited about her FIRST birthday party.. (which I have secretly been planning for the last 5 months of her life!!!) Less than 4 months till my baby girl becomes a toddler... well actually she has already become a toddler to us !!! She thinks she can walk... which most of the time leads to the floor, but she LOVES pushing her walker and walking behind it. At first all I could see was the walker getting ahead of her and her crashing to the floor... however, she has only fallen once and she was still holding onto the bar so she actually swung into it.. leaving a bump.

Unfortunately along with this new stage of toddling she has had one of her first bigger accidents... no major ones but some that called for ice and some coaxing to calm her down. Poor baby girl she now knows how to roll onto her tummy and slide off the couch onto her feet or her bum... but this time she rolled a little too far and landed on the side of her head... remember that wood floor David installed back when she was born... yeah... OUCH a goose egg quickly formed but after a good old bag of peas and some snuggling with her daddy she was all smiles again!

She has learned how to pull herself up in her crib to the standing position...

FOOD! She eats whatever we eat... I have begun making the baby food puree of everything... and I mean everything! Her dinners (frozen ice cubes) consist of carrots, squash, noodles, tomatoes and avocado... and though it took her a day to get used to ALL the chunks... she LOVES them now! I am saving HUGE since we stopped buying baby food! Depending on what we have for dinner I toss it into the blender and make the next couple of dinners for her! Her lunches and snacks usually are cut up bananas, avocados, blueberries, veggie puffs, hard boiled egg yolk, toast, and cut up meats... she is still eating fruits out of the jar but that is my next step to boil the fruits and freeze them :) She tried her first pickle...Daddy's idea not mine and she BIT into that thing... along with chewing on a cold corn on the cob.. she uses her little teeth to scrape off the kernels!

You can see her two front teeth if you click on the picture below

Some other new things:
She learned how to drive... don't worry the car was parked... but she LOVED hanging onto the steering wheel.

She also got o experience what it would be like to be a deep sea diver... She started off trying to drink out of the bowl then somehow it ended up on her head :)

She can drink out of a straw now and tries to drink out of EVERY cup she sees even if it is filled with soapy water! She is still LOVING her car seat and it is HUGE, one of the widest ones out there... perfect for our little chubette :) We also have started using the car seat ice packs... it is this small blanket that holds two LARGE ice packs.. when you lay it over the car seat one keeps the seat cool and the other keeps the back cool... it lasts ALL day and even remains cold till 11:00 p.m. WE LOVE IT... I REALLY RECOMMEND IT! The brand is Baby Bee Cool and it is SO worth the money! The metal in is actually freezing cold!!! Amazing!

She swims a lot and loved the pool but still prefers the hot tub to the pool... she doesn't mind the heat at all :)

She LOVES her puppy and loves playing with her. Gracelyn will lie on her back and Daisy will stand over her with a squeaker in her mouth, Gigi tries to grab it and Daisy pulls it away. Hey I will take Daisy for a babysitter any chance I get. Gracelyn is a turbo crawler one minute she is there the next... who knows?
She recently pulled the coffee table over and we have now purchased an ottoman that will act as a soft coffee table AND opens up for a toy box... LOVE THIS! Right now the thing that gets her into the most trouble is the dog food and water... she plays in the water and TRIED eating the food, we later found chewed up dog food that had been spit out all over the floor... who can blame her is isn't exactly cheerios!

The thing that has challenged me the most is putting EVERYTHING into her mouth... so far we have found :
piece of blue plastic
the letter L (foam)
hair tie
piece of plastic
styrofoam
leaf
string
dog food
the letter L (AGAIN ONLY THIS TIME A MAGNET)
so we have been REALLY working on keeping our floors CLEAN!!!!!! A lot of it is either dragged in by daisy or found in tiny places that we can't get to!

So far this month has BY FAR been the most fun! She plays games... (hide and go seek) and is beginning to learn the word "No" She is really entertaining and we love seeing her little personality form... she is a little sassy pants sometimes ;) My favorite is when she wants you so she will crawl to you and then stand up while pulling on your leg!!! I LOVE MY HUG A BUNCH!

Can't wait to see what this next month will bring for our family!

Gracelyn's First 4th of July!

Gracelyn had a great FIRST 4th of July! David's parents were out of town so they let us hang out swim and BBQ with my mom, brother, sister and her fiance! We so much fun swimming and playing a great game of poker! We let off some of our own fireworks and poppers and then crawled up onto the roof to watch the show... unfortunately there were none :( Apparently a lot of regulars decided to cancel this year due to the economy! We sill had a great time!

Daddy's Birthday!!

David had the day off for his birthday last wednesday and his parents had everyone over to swim and eat cake! It was great seeing all the cousins again and Gracelyn LOVED being around her family!
