There is a LOT of information in this post! It is really for me, so I can look back and remember... but I do hope you enjoy it too!
This was the first year we spent Christmas morning at our home! As much as I missed my family tradition of wearing jammies over to my parents house it was so nice to just enjoy it with our girls! It started off with homemade cinnamon rolls (from Grandma Debby) then David read the Christmas story from the Bible as I acted it out with the Little people nativity scene, and finally we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus!
Such a blessed Christmas!!! If you notice the Disney dolls on the tree (got them at Kid to Kid) I continued the tradition my parents started of hiding one gift on the tree... obviously they will have to look harder once they are older!
Santa brought Gracelyn a soft fur real kitty(the one she asked Santa for) and Briella got a tinker-bell chair to watch T.V. in :)
We like to keep the focus on Christ as much as possible so when David came up with the idea of giving the girls 3 main gifts and then their stockings I loved it! We told them that since Jesus received three gifts from the wise-men they too would receive three. It keeps it simple, focused, and hopefully keeps their minds on Jesus and off of expecting TONS of presents!
So this year Gracelyn got her Ariel barbie, a play-doh mega factory and the game memory!
Briella got her wooden cradle (that we bought from a dear friend whose daughters are now grown) a doll that was mine when I was little and her Leap Frog cell phone... which she really likes!!
David's Aunt and Uncle were given this and asked us if the girls wanted it. Little pony has been hiding under a sheet since summer ;) the girls LOVE this thing especially Gracelyn!
We even had a fire... well fake fireplace on tv but HEY it was great ;)
Sleepy girl woke up 30min AFTER we already started... she liked her m&m's and didn't care about anything else in her stocking ha!
LOVED their matching jammies that I got on cyber Monday! Looked all over and couldn't find matching fleece ones anywhere in stores... thank you Kohl's for offering GREAT jammies at GREAT prices ;) I will definitely be looking there again next year!
Ella's baby cradle was a hit...
She LOVES her cradle and her baby (one of my old ones) she ALWAYS has a baby in her hands!
Gracelyn LOVED her Ariel barbie!!! I lucked out at the Disney store on Black Friday! Now she has Cinderella, Aurora, Belle and Ariel... and loves them all!
It was a wonderful morning! I look forward to many many more Christmas mornings spent as a family!!!
Thank you Lord for sending your son! Happy Birthday Jesus!
