Simplify Christmas... a wee bit late!

Yes I am aware that this was a few months ago but if I don't write it down it will have never happened in my blog archive and I just can't have that ;) So... he we go our very late Christmas post!

SIMPLIFY CHRISTMAS ...CELEBRATE CHRIST!
That was our goal this season... we usually attend many christmas parties family affairs and get booked to the MAX on our social calendar. I for one LOVE the hustle and bustle and parties, and soirees and dinners and cookie exchanges but with my job being in the afternoon/ evenings and my sister due around Christmas with her baby boy we did a lot less running around... and tho we missed everyone it was a refreshing and relaxing holiday.
Working a job with the hours I do sure changes things. I LOVE my job and I am beyond grateful I can spend the mornings with my girls and then bring them to work until David picks them up after he is off. I work for the most awesome family and the boys are truly my little dreams since our world is so girly! My job has taught me to be more disciplined with my time and to really appreciate and cherish the few nights we do have home together. That was one of the sweetest things about simplifying our schuedules. We enjoyed family movie nights and dinner at the table. We also managed some drives to see lights and family walks. I did work a lot before Christmas Eve and  it totally snuck up on me I feel like Christmas came and went SUPER fast... but I am so blessed by our special moments we shared as a family of four!

Christmas Eve we went to our church, then got to our traditional Macayos restaurant to eat and make sure the girls ate. Then the rest of our family arrived and we got to visit with them for a total of 20 min before the meltdowns started. So glad we ate early ;) Since David propsed on Christmas Eve we decided to drive by the "Magic House" sadly they didn't even have one strand of lights up. David got down on one knee by the wishing well in the backyard. While I wishing he was popping the question! The house used to be covered in lights and you could walk through and see all his Christmas decor but a dangerous fall a year ago forced him to stop.

Once we got home, we let the girls open their new Chirstmas jammies (a tradition my family used to do) and then we read the Night before Christmas. Once the girls were asleep David and exchanged our girfts to eachother and watched It's a Wonderful Life ( an old tradition of his)

Here is how we spent our Christmas day!
Woke up and had our exchange at our home!

The girls each got a present from Santa, their 3 gifrs from us and then we just sat and enjoyed the morning together!

Then we headed over to my parents house in our jammies still  (another tradition) and all the cousins exchanged gifts and enjoyed some yummy Golden Rod!

Sweet Cameron!

David was so excited for his JAMmer jersey!

All the girls watching cartoons with Papa!

We TRIED to get a picture of the cousins... but... well... ya know how it goes :)

Christmas cuties!

Big sister Emma and baby brother Cam!

Love of my life!

After some fun we headed over to David's parents house for more fun and gifts! Unfortuntaely my camera was dead by then... should have charged it prior to this day... but so glad we got a picture of the girls with Grandma and Grandpa!

We had a delightful Christmas and are so blessed to have such wonderful family so close!
