On Saturday, David and I went to USA Baby just so I could show him some things and we ended up finding our crib!! It was a beautiful antique crib that was originally almost $700 but it was on sale for $300!!! And the great thing is, it it is the transitional crib that converts into a toddler bed and then a day bed, and finally a head board and foot board for a full. So it can grow with the kiddos :)
We couldn't pass up such a great deal... so today we went and picked it up! Buying the crib also gave us the excitement and desire to start painting. Since we don't know yet what color the baby's room is we just moved everything out and David primed it.
Because David didn't want me to be near the paint fumes, I stayed in the office and researched furniture and gliders. We ended up finding our dresser at IKEA. It is perfect!! Black finish with 6 drawers and long enough to place the changing pad on :) Now we can finally use the great wedding gifts that Aunt Sara, Aunt Sue and Grandma gave us!!!
Now the only thing left is to find a glider that is reasonably priced and that fits both David and me !!! Also, we are trying to make the finish black so it matches, but that may be pushing it a little ;)
I will post pictures of the stages... as soon as i am allowed to go in that smelly room :)
Can't wait for Thursday!!!!!
Here is a picture of our crib only imagine it in an antique black finish... don't you love that little drawer too :)

Isn't getting ready for the nursery so fun?! The crib/bed is beautiful!
Thanks! Maternity clothes are somewhat "not so cute", but I got all my maternity clothes from Old Navy and Motherhood. Right after I found out I was pregnant, I went to the Motherhood outlet at Anthem and they had a really big selection on summer stuff (in December, which was weird). Anyway, I stalked up then and have just bought a few things here and there. I've actually found some really cute stuff on the Motherhood and Old Navy websites which are not offered in the stores, so check that out if you need some more clothes. Really though at this point, all I care about is being comfortable so Old Navy tank tops and relaxed shorts are doing me good! :) Karilee
so one more day! GET EXCITED!!!! love you!
