I won something!

I had entered a contest that SB an amazing photographer was hosting. She was the gal who took our maternity photos :) Well anyway she is really into art and I LOVE art! Her contest sounded so fun and appealing that even if I didn't win, I wanted to take the challenge! The contest was to chose a color out of the 126 Crayola colors and illustrate what it mean to me. I of course chose Funzzy Wuzzy Brown... and what did I think of immediately but a teddy bear. I drew the teddy bear... then thought if I use the words to outline the bear it would appear to look "fuzzy" but would actually be the name of the color. After I was finished I knew it needed something more... a bow! Of course inspired by my beautiful Gracelyn Shea!!! Who... if you have not noticed... is NEVER without a bow :)
Well anyway... time flew by and i forgot to mail in my entry. I called SB and asked her if I could still send it... and the sweet gal she is gave me GRACE! I was almost ready to give up on the contest and throw away my entry after I realized that it was supposed to be mailed yesterday :(

I figured some abstract art piece would win... or something with paint or some other type of medium... well to my surprise I went online today and who was starting back at me but my very own Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear... those big eyes and that cute bow... MY GOODNESS!!! I HAD WON!!!

We won an hour and a half photo session plus a disk of all the images and the rights along with a wall portrait of one of the pictures from that session.

We have been meaning to get Gracelyn photographed and get an updated family picture so now we are so excited to have SB photograph us!!!
