Gracelyn's Half Birthday!

So excited for her half birthday!

Mom, you forgot my sticker that says I am 6 months...

That is okay I will just eat my hands :)

We celebrated Gracelyn's half birthday today... it wouldn't be complete without the "very merry unbirthday" song from Alice in Wonderland sung by the amazing David!!! We took lots of pictures... but when do I NOT take lots of pictures ;)

She has gone through all her veggies and LOVED them all... seriously this kid will eat anything. We have started on fruits and she likes apples so far but... I think it may be a bit sweet... oh goody... the opposite of what I was afraid of. Instead of having a sweet tooth she is not so into fruits yet... oh well in her time!

Her favorite food to snack on is graham crackers. She loves to hold them and just gnaw on them with her gums. She gets confused when they get stuck to her face :)

As directed by her Pediatrician she has been using the sippy cup for a little while and now knows how to use it. She grabs it with both hands and tilts... of course she dribbles...A LOT! but she is beginning to understand that she has to roll over onto her back and lift up the cup... otherwise she doesn't get anything.

She can feed herself the bottle without any help. She hold it up and keeps it at an angle and when she is all done... she throws it :)

She knows how to go backwards but not forward. She will scoot all the way backwards until she runs into a wall or a piece of furniture and then turns around and goes backwards in another direction... what a little cutie!

Some of her favorite toys are the crinkly thing of wipes and the bag of uncooked pasta.. loves to her crunching and crinkling. She still loves her exersaucer and her piano... she can push the buttons now and likes to do it all by herself.

Sitting up is all she does now... I am so glad that I can sit her down with toys or pots and pans and she can entertain herself. I am SO not ready or eager for her to learn to crawl.

We have introduced the sitting up swing back into her life and she loves it... the only problem is it is broke so we have to keep pushing her :(

Still loves to take baths on her tummy and swim around like a fishy... we tried a new seat that attaches to the side of the tub but we have to put a lot of water in it to keep her warm... we like the tummy tub if she does :)

Still sleeps great! Goes to bed at 8 and sleeps till 8:30... doesn't like to nap in the car anymore :(

Work is so much more fun now that she interacts with the four girls that I watch. They all want to hold her and feed her and watch me change her diaper. They love to roll the balls to her because she loves to throw them... although, she doesn't like it when she throws it out of her reach!

I hope you enjoyed the updates and pictures. I will post again tomorrow after her appt.

Also, for those of you who were wondering about my test results. Well, a few tests came back with question marks on them so they are not only re-testing but taking some additional tests as well. I was so sad today to find out they would be taking an additional 10 tubes :( So I asked my Dr. some questions and he was very difficult. (talk about a bad bedside manner) It seemed as though my questions were making him think I was questioning his decisions and he would reply all defensive and flippant... my poor mother asked him a question and he replied with "well that is what we are trying to figure out" almost as if he was saying let us do our job lady! Needless to say I left in tears and very disappointed. We have to wait another three weeks for THOSE results...so keep it coming my prayer princesses and warriors :)

Love you guys! Have a great Cinco de Mayo... David surprised me with fish tacos and margaritas... that is one way to cheer me up!! especially since I don't have to cook ;)

Blessings,
The Noland Three

Love the update on beautiful Gracelyn. She is getting so big and she is mighty cute!

I am so sorry that Dr. acted that way. What a meanie! We are praying that everything comes back and clears all the question marks. I wish you didn't have all this stress of waiting and waiting. Ugh!

I can't believe she is already 6 months old! My how time flies!!! She just gets more adorable with every picture you take. I'm so sorry to hear about your blood work :( No fun! I'm the same way with needles. You will be in our prayers.
