So I have mentioned in the past that Gracelyn doesn't like splash pads or sprinklers at all! I thought the pool would fall into the same category but thankfully it doesn't and lately she LOVES the pool, so I have been taking her as much as I can. I have a little confession... I am a HUGE pool mooch ;) Any chance I get to cool down I am so thankful for!!! So if any of you want some company at the pool Gigi and I would LOVE to join you ;)
Like last Sunday... we celebrated Mother's Day a little late with my family. My younger sister and her hubby just got a beautiful new apartment and they were so kind to host a BBQ! The pool is this beautiful resort style pool with couches and grills and tables and jacuzzis... it is right next to the common room that has a bar, gym and movie theater.. and they always have free popcorn!!!!!! My favorite!!!!
Anyway, as you can see any chance to go over to their place we get... we take it gladly ;) We had such a nice time grilling and swimming and listening to music while visiting... it was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday!!

Yeah we are going to. It is really good for their bum, the environment and not to mention the cost benefit. Some people will tell you that it is not less expensive, but if you do it right, it really is. I'm not an expert yet, but Steff is great. It is two extra loads of laundry a week (small ones) and she doesn't think it's bad at all. It will probably even be easier for me because I don't plan to work as much as she does. When I babysit Wes it doesn't bother me a bit. Now that I know how to use them it seems pretty much the same as changing a regular diaper. Also, I was really worried about the smell, but there is none. Steff uses a regular plastic trash can and I have never noticed a smell walking into his room. That says a lot too because I have an extremely sensitive nose! I actually think it smells less than regular diapers. Probably because there are no chemicals in them. We got our diaper bin from Babies R Us for 15$. I'll let you know how it goes in a few weeks once we've had a chance to try it out. We are using Thirsties diaper covers and Indian Prefolds with snappies. Here are the links if you want to look into it a little more.
Covers (you really only need a couple): http://www.thirstiesbaby.com/
You can buy them on Amazon and a bunch of other places online as well as some stores (find the retailers from the website).

Steff has tried out a bunch and she found best luck with these. No leaks, easy to use, ect. Hope this helps!
Is your Sister's apartment at the Trillium complex at 7th street and the 101? That was our first apartment after we got married! We loved it so much, and I actually worked as a leasing agent for Trillium too :). So cool that they live there (I'm assuming lol).
Oh, and I totally recognize that dress in that last pic ;) she looks SO cute in it! Capri only got to wear it once because it was so cold by the time it fit her- so glad Gigi is extending it's cuteness!
