Gracelyn's 1st Birthday

We woke the BIG birthday girl up with the Happy Birthday song and a video camera of course ;)

Then we took her downstairs to her presents. She was so cute walking over to them... of course at first she didn't know what to do with them.



Until... she spotted BROBI her green monster friend from the TV show Yo Gabba Gabba. She quickly grabbed the book... but didn't read it no books are so much better to eat than read ;)

After playing with her presents, we made her the special Evans tradition PINK PANCAKES! Of course we had to add our own twist to it so we let her pick out two cookie cutters and made her heart and butterfly shaped pancakes :)

She was mesmerized by the flame on the candle and since mommy wouldn't let her touch the fire, the smile turned into a scream.


Though stuffing those pancakes into her mouth ended up solving everything :)

After some more playtime and a full belly the birthday went straight to sleep ... no surprise she only slept for 45 min.

Then we headed out to have lunch at Chick-fil-a with my sweet friend Britt and her girls Landry and Meg... of course it was such a fun surprise to have their Oma celebrate with us too :) They got her the cutest little pink car from Chevron (their Daddy's station) She enjoyed eating chicken nuggets, french fries and MILK!!! Such a big girl :)

She crashed in the car on the way home... hopefully this nap will be nice and long and hold her over till Chuck-E-Cheese tonight (crossed fingers ;)
