Big girl!

Sunglasses of choice #1

I can't believe how big Gigi is getting. On top of her growth spurts she has also aged... seriously this little girl is the sweetest thing she has learned so much and I am in awe of her new skills but I have no idea where her sassy little attitude came from. I am finding myself putting her in time out a lot more lately. Thankfully I haven't lost it with her ... yet... I know I am not a perfect mother and as much as I try to give her choices, explain consequences with her and show her grace... I know someday not too far from now I will eventually lose it. Especially because she can go from snuggling with me and patting my back to hitting my face in an instant.

Don't get me wrong we have a lot of sweet special moments together. One of my favorite things right now that she has learned is saying I Love You. She says
"Eye" points to her eye
"Love" tries to cross her arms
"You" and points with her finger towards me!! IT IS SO SWEET! I love it :)

She really loves her baby sister already and likes to be VERY close to her ALL the time! She can't wait to meet her baby sister and share her minnie mouse with her. Let's hope she is still just as giving when baby girl actually arrives :)

She had her first "Special Time" with my Dad her Papa today and it was so sweet to see her get all ready to go and then stare out the window waiting for his car to pull up. I got a little teary eyed after she left. It just reminded me of all the special times I had with my Dad and how much my baby has grown up :( It was such a bittersweet moment and I know they are planning more together once baby is here!

Tomorrow she finally gets her big girl bed frame. She has been sleeping on a twin mattress since we moved her out of her crib almost 5 months ago. David is picking up the canopy frame tomorrow. I know I am excited for her to have a princess bed and I am hoping she likes to sleep on it instead of the floor ;)

She has been such a trooper while I am on bed rest. Since Mommy can't leave the house more like the couch then Gigi has to not only stay inside but stay in the same room as Mommy which is very hard with as active as she is. Thankfully most of my friends that come over to keep us company have kiddos so she gets some play time with them and I am SO thankful for that. She LOVES her baby Camden and even though he is 5 months old I think she thinks of him as her baby brother.. when she is not stealing toys from him she is putting his binky back in his mouth or patting his head haha. Unfortunately when her "cousin" Parker comes over she just bullies him around and he takes it... she is starting to understand that she has to be nice and I think having friends over help teach her how to share, and be kind and gentle!

Well I guess that is pretty much it. I have been able to scrapbook and make some fun things lately that is while Gigi is sleeping :) My newest and funEST craft is making daisies out tulle and fabric. My sweet friend Moriah is going to teach me another type of fabric flower and then I can start playing with them on hair clips, headbands, shirts, skirts and onesies!! YAY!! Stay tuned... this mama has a lot of time on her hands ;)

She likes to accessorize!

Thank you for your prayers and to everyone who continues to help us out by bringing us meals, keep me company and help David with the cooking and cleaning!!! It is greatly appreciated!!!
