I thought I loved you then

David sang me this song the other day! The words had such love and power to them and it was so sweet the way he looked at me tearing up when the song talks about "turning grey" He has "officially" named it our song (aside from the one he wrote me for valentine's day) he is so sweet!

So anyway it is posted on my music player on the bottom right of my page so go listen it is such a tender song!

I remember, trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mezmorized
And three weeks later, in the front porch light
taking forty-five minutes to kiss goodnight
I hadn't told you yet
but I thought I loved you then

Chorus

And now you're my whole life
now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl
Like a river meets the sea,
stronger than it's ever been.
We've come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then

And i remember, taking you back to right where I first met you,
You were so surprised
There were people around, but I didn't care
Got down on one knee right there once again,
I thought I loved you then

Chorus

And now you're my whole life
now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl
Like a river meets the sea,
stronger than it's ever been.
We've come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then

I could just see you, with a baby on the way
And I could just see you, when your hair is turning gray
What I can't see is how I'm ever gonna love you more
But I've said that before

And now you're my whole life
now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl
We'll look back someday, at this moment that we're in
And I'll look at you and say
And I thought I loved you then
And I thought I loved you then

It is so funny how much we can relate to it, especially the "three weeks" verse since we got engaged after 2 and a half months of dating. However, we knew after being together for week that we wanted to marry one another and discussed it very openly on one of our dates :) Some other things that we can relate to are "getting down on one knee in front of people everywhere" since he proposed at the Christmas house where many people were walking through admiring the lights and Christmas displays! Lastly, of course the baby verse!!

***Easter take 2 didn't go as planned. No Easter family picture.. Gracelyn wanted out of her dress by the time we got to my parent's house. She has been in it at church and the HOT CAR ride home 95 today :(... by the time we arrived she was bright red and so warm! For the rest of the day she was a little fussy ducky so I got pictures of her crying and only a few of her smiling... so we will try an Easter take 3 photoshoot in our backyard... pictures to come soon :)
