Wow, David and I have just been blessed beyond belief. We have the most wonderful baby girl. We love spending time just watching her. She is so strong already lifting up her head, rolling on her side, playing with rings in her hands. She is sleeping pretty well, aside from a diaper change or getting out of her swaddle she is quiet between feedings. Nursing is going great thanks to the four days of being in the hospital and having the lactation consultants there for every feeding. As soon as I woke up in the ICU I asked where they took Gracelyn to because I had to nurse her. They told me I was in no position to nurse her and that they would just give her formula. I was devastated! Thankfully knowing that David was the first person to feed her made me feel a lot better, but I was worried she would never breast feed... I AM SO GLAD I WAS WRONG :)
David is so organized between all the feedings, poopies, and medications that I have to take. I don't know what I would do without him. Because of my surgery I can't go up and down stairs so we have walkie talkies and he is so good about getting me anything I need or helping me up the stairs. I still can't believe he doesn't have to go back to work until January. We really are a team at this and I love it. I definitely underestimated just how hard the recovery would be from a c-section... it hurts :( I guess you really don't realize how much you use your abs until you can't. I go on wednesday to get my staples out... a little worried about that but it will make things A LOT easier.
As most new parents the camera is attached to our hip! We take a picture of everything she does.

Oh my...Gracie's complexion is already gorgeous - just like her mommy's! You and David looked so content with little Gracie. Love to all! Aunt Sue
I am so glad everything is going so well (apart from the pain from the C-Section)! She looks so cute in all her little outfits. Wow, time goes bay way too fast. It seems like yesterday, Kaiden was that tiny. We will pray that things keep going so great! :) Love, Matt and Karilee
I bet it feels so great to be home! Isn't it so ironic that both of our little Gracelyn's started out in the NICU? But regardless, they both did great in there! God is so good!
Oh my goodness. Amanda and David, your baby girl is BEAUTIFUL!! Congratulations.
