Apparently my Mac didn't not enjoy its trip to Utah for the holidays... just kidding!! As of right now my computer won't turn on.. it just shows a file and a question mark when it is booting up :( Unfortunately we don't have a warranty on it anymore! I am not ready to surrender my baby!! If anyone has ever had that problem... or has an idea what it may be I am ALL EARS!! Something I read said it was a HD failure... I sure hope not... I think that means I lose EVERYTHING!! I am not ready to Lose EVERYTHING!!! So please, if ANYONE knows ANYTHING it would truly be a HUGE blessing!!
On a side note, (This is where I would post pictures of our New Year's Eve :(
Our house is a mess.. we are putting away Christmas blessing gifts, taking all the Christmas decorations down and trying to unpack from our week vacation to the snow!! Boy do I pack more than I EVER really use ;)

I've been hearing about a lot of MACs doing that. :( Sounds like your hard drive. I'd take it to a MAC store (or any electronic store) and see if they can restore it. It's spendy, but it might be worth it to get all your photos back.
For the future, I'd sign up with Carbonite. They back up all your photos and videos and then put them back on your computer in the event that it crashes. It's only $50 a year. Whatever you do, don't go out a buy an external hard drive. We did that and IT crashed.
I hope you get everything back!!!
Yikes, that does sound like HD failure. :( How much does a new hard drive cost?
My husband said that if you want to bring it over to us he will fix it.
He's fixed this problem a million times and it would be no trouble. When I read him the first couple lines of your post and asked him if he knew what he was he said "Yep, deal with that every day." I'll Facebook message you our info. :)
